The Practical AI programme aims to inform and catalyse the adoption of practical AI with local entrepreneurs, businesses, policymakers, public sector delivery bodies, and communities to drive meaningful innovation that improves people’s everyday lives and enables local economic growth.
This will be delivered through two strands:
- Inform: stories of responsible AI adoption.
- Catalyse: unblocking barriers to innovation.
Inform
Practical AI: Inform is an exciting new series of online discussions to share stories of how AI can deliver benefits for people and places. We’ll be talking to AI innovators, users and adopters about the reality of adopting AI and what they've learnt from the experience.

Catalyse
Practical AI: Catalyse aims to use the Academy's convening power to catalyse responsible AI adoption where it can drive public benefit. We are hosting workshops with problem owners in the public sector and experts to help them work through their specific AI adoption challenges, such as security, data governance, etc.
