Johnson Matthey (JM)

We're most well known for...
We are Johnson Matthey, a global leader in sustainable technologies. For over 200 years we've used advanced metals chemistry to tackle the world's biggest challenges. Many of the world's leading energy, chemicals and automotive companies depend on our technology and expertise to decarbonise, reduce harmful emissions and improve their sustainability. And now, as the world faces the challenges of climate change, energy supply and resource scarcity, we're actively providing solutions for our customers. Through inspiring science and continued innovation, we're catalysing the net zero transition for millions of people every day.
Our five core values provide the framework against which we engage with each other, with our customers and with our stakeholders. They guide how we do things in JM and shape the right culture to achieve our strategy.
These are:
- Protecting people and the planet
- Acting with integrity
- Working together
- Innovating and improving
- Owning what we do
Playing to win starts early
New chemistry technology will be critical to meeting the world’s challenges in energy, transport, chemicals and future manufacturing. That’s why we need the world's brightest talent to help drive our inspiring use of science and investment innovation, so we are ready to tackle these challenges head on. Our early career roles and programmes support interns, apprentices, and new college graduates through the transition from academia to industry. We are committed to developing our people and we know that playing to win starts early.
At Johnson Matthey, we create space for our ethnically diverse employees to enhance their skills and develop their careers. We are currently working to fulfil our commitments for the “Change the Race Ratio” and “If not now, when” initiatives. We also have a number of Employee Resource Groups dedicated to embracing JM’s global diversity strategy.
