Supporting the next generation of future engineers
ITP Aero has proudly teamed up with GEEP to make engineering education more inclusive, impactful, and future-focused. Through this collaboration, the company contributes expertise, mentorship, and real-world industry exposure - helping participants develop technical confidence, broaden their horizons, and step confidently into engineering roles. In sharing its knowledge and resources, ITP Aero strengthens both student potential and the engineering profession as a whole.

Championing Future engineers through GEEP
ITP Aero is proud to support the Graduate Engineer Engagement Programme (GEEP), a Royal Academy of Engineering initiative aimed at helping students and recent graduates from under-represented backgrounds pursue careers in engineering.
Since November 2024 through to June this year, 14 volunteers from across our UK business have taken part in the programme, delivering six 1-to-1 mentoring sessions focused on career development, industry insight, and personal growth.

Opening doors to aerospace innovation
As part of our commitment to the programme, we were pleased to host seven GEEP students at our Hucknall facility last week. The visit offered students a deeper insight into the design and advanced manufacturing technologies used in the production of gas turbine aero engine components. The day included a factory tour and interactive sessions with our engineers covering design, stress analysis, and career journeys.
The engagement and enthusiasm shown by both our engineers and the GEEP students made the day a great success, with valuable knowledge shared on both sides.
A big thank you to everyone across the UK business who has supported GEEP this year, your time and effort is helping to shape the future of engineering.

"I really enjoyed hearing about the different career paths, as they were all different. I believe I could openly ask questions to anyone, and I would always get an open and honest response back!"

"I found the shop floor tour was very informative and any questions asked were thoroughly answered. For me the insight from other engineering careers and their encouragement has definitely helped me with confidence."
