Dr Mahmoud Wagih - University of Glasgow

Dr Wagih's research is on Radio Frequency (RF)-enabled sustainable electronics, where emerging RF  devices and systems are used for energy harvesting, sensing, and low-power communication. His UK IC Post-doctoral focuses on RF-enabled energy harvesting in energy scarce environment. Exploring on-demand RF power delivery in constrained environments ranging from ultra-miniaturized sensors to those operating in lossy biological mediums, where safety considerations are crucial.
In addition to the RF engineering aspects, the research crosses to material science and electronics manufacturing. Given the projected large-scale deployment of sensors and internet of things devices, more sustainable and scalable materials, including flexible and printable devices which do not rely on critical materials are explored as the building blocks of the RF power delivery and harvesting sub-systems.
