Research Fellowships 2018
Dr Moura’s research directly targets the needs for ‘step-change’ technologies for gas separations and processing, in applications such as in gas separation and scrubbing. This research targets energy reduction and process improvements to overcome the environmental cost of current technologies and to address challenging separations. Her goal is to develop efficient technologies that will deliver cost savings, leading to improved competitiveness, and to lower energy demand enhancing the environment.
Dr Moura’s research makes use of new dedicated equipment capable of faster, responsive screening and high-precision measurements with mixed gas absorption using real conditions (temperature, pressure, complex composition of gas mixture). This has been shared by industrial partners and they have used the data to determine the real potential for industrial application.
