Dr George Fazekas

Dr Fazekas’ recent research addresses challenges in creative AI, sound synthesis and music recommendation, spanning projects with commercial partners such as Yamaha, Sony, Universal Music Group, and Steinberg. These collaborations include topics such as controllable music generation, music style transfer, intelligent music editing and VR for cultural heritage. 

The applications of his research include content discovery, human-computer interaction, and digital preservation. His approach often blends perceptual insight with technical innovation, for instance combining deep learning with semantic web models and auditory perception metrics to enhance recommender systems or user-driven creative tools.
