Visiting Professor
Dr Shengke Zhi is a Chartered Engineer and strategic leader in the net zero sector with over two decades of experience driving innovation in clean energy and sustainability. His career began at EDF Energy as a reactor operations engineer, followed by a number of senior roles in Wood. Currently, Dr Zhi leads Nuclear, Hydrogen and Carbon Capture and Storage initiatives within the Projects and Programme Services team at AtkinsRéalis, helping shape the future of clean energy and build partnerships that accelerate progress toward net zero. He is a Fellow of both the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Nuclear Institute and is recognised for his contributions to international collaboration and strategic growth in the energy sector. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School.
