Parastoo Jamshidi

Visiting Professor

Dr Parastoo Jamshidi, Materials Development Manager at Cooksongold, leads innovation in precious metal alloys and additive manufacturing for biomedical, aerospace, and industrial sectors. Formerly a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, she gained recognition for work on customised implants, high-performance alloys, and advanced manufacturing. Holding a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, she will deliver industry-informed teaching at Heriot-Watt University, mentor students, and strengthen academia–industry collaboration in materials innovation, sustainable manufacturing, and application-driven product development.
