Dr Vishnu Sunil is a distinguished scientist and innovator, whose journey highlights the profound impact of dedication and passion in transforming patient care. Through EmerStat, Dr Sunil has pioneered an advanced nanofibrous haemostatic material that expedites clot formation to ensure rapid wound sealing without the absorption of blood. It repels blood effectively, thereby minimising blood loss upon direct application to the site of bleeding, and easily detaches after clotting, reducing the risk of secondary bleeding during removal. Traditional solutions are prohibitively expensive, meaning that this affordable, biodegradable, non-adherent haemostatic platform increases public access to crucial intervention.
