Viridiana Rosas
Viridiana is a tech advocate and health enthusiast with over 14 years of experience as a clinical psychologist. She co-founded Rinku in 2020, and has won numerous awards since, such as Innovahealth 2020 and the Healthaton challenges for 2021, and was a finalist in the IEEE Telehealth Pitch Competition for 2023. Her mission is to improve health monitoring for the elderly, enabling greater family involvement, and ensuring increased visibility of historical data to enable prompt medical care where needed.
Through Rinku, Viridiana has developed an at-home, phoneless streaming solution for improved health monitoring. Providing visibility to medical professionals and family members, the IoT-based innovation collects information from commercial Bluetooth medical devices, and retransmits it to a cloud server without user or patient intervention, thus enabling at-risk individuals to receive continuous monitoring without any direct engagement with the technology. This information is also stored to allow health professionals to better understand and predict any health-related issues for their patient.
