Dr Thunnalin Winuprasith
Dr Thunnalin Winuprasith is a distinguished entrepreneur and academic specialising in food science, nutrition, and biotechnology. With a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, she has co-founded several startups focusing on innovative food technologies and functional health products. Currently serving as the Deputy Director for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem at iNT, Mahidol University, she leads efforts to develop an incubator and accelerator for deep tech innovation.
Dr Winuprasith has developed a nutritionally complete, texture-modified drink specifically designed for dysphagia patients and the elderly. This ready-to-drink solution meets the highest safety standards of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI), ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for individuals with swallowing difficulties. The accessible product provides customisable flavour and texture options, contains a number of easily-absorbed nutrients, and has a one-year shelf life at room temperature.
