Suket Amin
Suket Amin completed his masters in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Leeds, and later returned to India to join his family business. His passion for technology, however, led him to the world of entrepreneurship and innovation, where he built a working prosthetic hand prototype, and developed autonomous ground vehicles for security applications. During COVID-19, he created an ultraviolet disinfectant tower and custom solutions to increase health and safety at Adani Port.
His innovation, SMARTON, is an innovative wearable device and mobile application designed to transform the lives of visually-impaired individuals by providing them with greater independence and accessibility. The affordable solution combines advanced AI technology with an intuitive, user-friendly interface to assist users in navigating their surroundings, reading printed and digital text, recognizing objects, and managing daily tasks with ease. With features like real-time audio descriptions, SMARTON enables users to understand their environment, helping them move confidently through unfamiliar spaces.
