Sachin Dubey
Sachin Dubey is a trained nanotechnologist and Oxford Chevening Fellow. His journey began in tech commercialization at Venture Centre, igniting his passion for entrepreneurship. From a two-person team with $1,500, he's grown USENSe to over 14 employees, and raised more than $2 million in further funding. Under his leadership, Module Innovations was the only Asian Diagnostics company to receive multiple accolades, including CARB-X funding.
Despite significant advancements in the field, UTI treatment primarily relies on prescribing broad-spectrum antibiotics. While this lack of diagnostics harms patient health, the widespread use of empirical antibiotics is also contributing to a serious global issue: Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
To help clinicians prescribe the right antibiotics and combat this issue, USENSe offers a point-of-care test which can quickly detect four major UTI-causing bacteria's directly from a urine sample. USENSe reduces bacterial identification time from 24-48 hours, to just 15 minutes, featuring a visual readout similar to a home pregnancy test. Designed for ease of use, USENSe requires no electricity, high cost or prior experience with the product, making it globally accessible.
