Dr Minh Hoai Nguyen
Dr Minh Hoai Nguyen is a medical doctor in Traditional Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam. Their research focus is on infrared temperature measurement for acupuncture points to support diagnosis and treatment in Traditional Medicine. With a solid background in clinical research, their research findings have been presented at the 10th International Conference in Vietnam on the Development of Biomedical Engineering (BME10).
Their innovation, the ATherm infrared thermometer, is specifically designed to monitor temperature at acupuncture points in the neck region, displaying real-time data through a mobile application. The innovation utilises skin temperature at these points to identify hot/cold imbalances, with its integrated heat function then able to reduce this disparity. ATherm also offers real-time data recording to monitor such imbalances over time.
