Dr Ntandoyenkosi Malusi Mkhize
Dr Ntandoyenkosi Malusi Mkhize is a process/chemical engineer by profession. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering, he spent four and a half years in the pulp and paper industry developing his skills from a trainee, junior and process engineer. After discovering inefficiencies that resulted in residual streams while at the employer enterprise, he developed an interest in renewable and residual resources valorisation. From this, he pursued his masters, and later doctoral degree, to investigate sustainable innovations for industrial residual and landfill waste stream valorisation.
NdoTec Innovations is introducing sustainable, renewable and residual resources valorisation for chemicals, materials, and energy products. The novel innovation is suitable for households, micro industries, and agricultural and agro-processing energy needs. The startup is focusing towards a complete economic system that includes participation from rural communities, ensuring they experience not only the direct benefits of the innovation, but increased opportunities for employment also.
