Jose Marco Latosa
Jose Marco D. Latosa is a Senior Science Research Specialist at the National Metrology Laboratory, ITDI, specializing in fluid flow metrology. He holds a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mapua University, and oversees the Volume and Flow Standards Section. Jose has led significant research projects, including the development of a subsonic wind tunnel and the Facility for Optimized Calibration of Infusion Systems (FOCUS). He is a representative for the Asia Pacific Metrology Programme, and has received several awards, including Best Presenter at the 2023 International Conference on Measurement Instrumentation and Electronics.
His innovation, the Low Turbulence Modular Subsonic Wind Tunnel System, features enhanced versatility, precision, and ease-of-use compared to traditional wind tunnel systems. Its modular design allows for easy part replacement and capacity upgrades, while its low turbulence flow ensures highly accurate measurements. Additionally, its convertible test section can switch between closed and open configurations, supporting a wide range of experiments and applications.
