Floc-Opex Recovery (FOR) aims to create a circular economy, mitigate climate change and environmental degradation through resource recovery. FOR assists potable water treatment plants by recycling up to 90% of metal-based chemicals with a 95% purity. This metal recovery translates to approximately a 15% reduction in volumes of sludge that would have needed to be discarded. Through this resource recovery approach FOR reduces the impact of chemical market price fluctuations on water utilities and emits 140 times less greenhouse gases in contrast to the manufacturing of these virgin metal chemicals.
