Laura Carmona
Laura is a Process Engineer with an MSc in Bioprocesses and processes a background in R&D of Chemical, biotechnological and construction products. Her Ph.D. research focused on developing bioinspired low-cost nanomaterials for clean energy applications to reduce the cost of production of Hydrogen byelectrolysis.
Laura and her team have made a breakthrough in hydrogen production by using affordable materials instead of expensive metals like platinum. This approach is inspired by nature and uses acid electrolytes and even saline water to lower operational costs significantly. The objective behind this innovation is to create materials that are both highly efficient and affordable, enabling pollution-free hydrogen production.
