Hüseyin Cumhur Tekin
Dr. Hüseyin Cumhur Tekin received his BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from METU and obtained his PhD degree in Microsystems and Microelectronics at EPFL. He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in EPFL, Harvard Medical School and the Canary Center for Cancer Early Detection at Stanford School of Medicine. Dr. Tekin founded Saniber in 2015 and joined the Bioengineering Department of Izmir Institute of Technology in 2016.
Saniber developed a device that can perform blood tests rapidly in a low-cost manner. Through the integration of a telemedicine system, the device is capable of counting WBCs and neutrophils without any professional equipment or staff meaning that even patients can perform their tests at home.
