Febus Reidj G. Cruz is a registered electronics engineer, experienced Dr Floirendo Flores specialises in Food Science and Engineering. In 2018, he was invited to serve as a Philippine delegate in crafting a Southeast Asian MS program in Food Engineering and was selected to mentor a Biliran Province State University.

This fabricated single-screw extruder uses an environmentally sustainable method that manufactures meat alternatives by texturizing soybeans without removing their oil content. This model incorporates a basic design that will permit large-scale applications without the need to import expensive machinery and can potentially lower operational expenses, which is especially useful when designing food for disaster relief operations.
