Dr Tran Anh Tu
Dr Tran Anh Tu is an expert in Geological Engineering with a PhD from Kyushu University. He has over 20 years of experience using mapping and satellite tools to study the land, including extensive field work. He is also a lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNUHCM where he teaches remote sensing and GIS in natural resources. His combined academic and industry experience gives him a strong understanding of both science and real-world needs, making him well-qualified to create new ways to measure and monitor carbon in plantation forests.
Dr Tran's innovation is the CO₂ field measurement and satellite solution that helps companies with high emissions to track how much carbon their plantation forests can offset. The solution combines ground measurement, UAV data, and satellite images to produce clear and dependable results. It overcomes the common problem of uncertain carbon estimates by offering information that is more accurate, easier to update, and less costly than traditional surveys. This gives companies a reliable way to verify and report their carbon offsets.
