Nanditha started her career in the media industry but was soon captivated by materials and handicrafts. She has collaborated with various eco-conscious companies and has links to the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona.

Pola is a regenerative design method for transforming water hyacinth into bio-objects, creating the potential for invasive plants to be interpreted not as a nuisance but as an asset. Pola is comprised of two products: Pola Compressed Boards and Pola Alternate Leather. Pola Compressed Boards are eco-friendly, versatile building materials offering exceptional durability, making them an ideal alternative to traditional plywood. Pola Alternate Leather, a water hyacinth-based leather provides a sustainable and cruelty-free alternative to traditional animal-based leather. What sets the Pola Project apart is its ability to transform an ecological problem into a regenerative solution, benefiting both the environment and local communities.
