Date and location
The symposium will take place from 11 to 13 February in Nairobi, Kenya.
Theme
The event aims to explore global challenges around accelerating the green transition through skills and innovation and will be split into 3 different sub-themes. Please note that the theme is still under co-development with our partners and the experts who will lead the event. More details will be announced soon on our webpage.
Purpose
By connecting policy makers, innovators, practitioner, industry and civil society players from around the world, this symposium will explore innovative, context-appropriate, and sustainable strategies to strengthen the green transition in Kenya, with a particular focus on innovation, the gap between skills supply and demand, and transformation of the informal labour economy. To better understand the format and outcomes of our symposia, please familiarise yourself with the structure by reading some of our previous event reports.
Costs
The Academy will book and cover the costs and logistics to support your participation, including travel, accommodation and subsistence. Please note we are happy to discuss any additional access requirements or caring responsibilities.
Participant commitment
In return, we ask that you commit to attending all sessions across the event, including external activities, dinners, and receptions. Full participation is important to ensure that networking opportunities are fully maximised. Please ensure you are available for the entire duration of the event.
Places are limited and competitive
Submitting this form does not guarantee a place, but you should expect to hear from us at the latest by late November 2025 if you have been successfully selected. The form is assessed on a rolling basis - due to the volume of applications we receive, we do not usually contact unsuccessful candidates.
