STEM Ambassador Training: Coventry

This dynamic workshop is ideal for STEM ambassadors based in or within a reasonable traveling distance of Coventry who want to make a real impact in classrooms. Through a full day of interactive activities, participants will become familiar with the illustrated storybook, group challenges, school pathways and networks to independently deliver the STEM Explorers resources in schools in 2026.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave equipped with the tools, confidence, and inspiration to deliver impactful STEM sessions that spark creativity and problem-solving skills in students. Whether you’re new to ambassador work or looking to refresh your outreach approach and contacts, this training will empower you to deliver exciting and inclusive STEM outreach as a STEM Ambassador.

What to expect?

• Understanding the Storybook and challenges: Learn the purpose, structure, and educational value behind the challenges illustrated in the storybook.

• Practical Delivery Skills: Gain confidence in presenting activities to diverse age groups and adapting to different classroom settings to keep students motivated and engaged.

• Engagement Techniques: Discover strategies to engage with the right contacts and establish partnerships within local schools to you.

• Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow ambassadors, share experiences, and build a supportive Community of STEM Ambassadors through the Awardee Excellence Community.

• Guidance on School Environments and Safeguarding: You will receive clear guidance and support on understanding how schools operate, key safeguarding practices, and practical tips on how to be an effective and confident ambassador.

Who should attend? 

Whether you have delivered STEM training before or this would be your first time, this training is open to all members of the Awardee Excellence Community committed to delivering STEM outreach in primary schools and impacting the next generation of engineers.

Important information: If you register for a place, we expect you to deliver at least two sessions in schools before the end of the 2025/2026 academic year
