PUBLIC EVENT
Join our latest event in the series of online talks hosted by Academy President and software engineer, Sir John Lazar CBE FREng. With energy demand for AI data centres soaring, it is essential that our national energy grids are prepared.
National Grid and Emerald AI are exploring whether data centres could become more responsive energy users - automatically reducing their power use when the grid is under stress and ramping back up when conditions stabilise. Reducing the risk of blackouts and improving the resilience of our national energy grid.
Practical AI: Inform series
Series of online discussions, which will provide opportunities to share stories of how AI can deliver benefits for people and places. We will be talking to AI innovators, users and adopters about the reality of adopting AI and what they've learnt from the experience. Catch up on our last event here.
