INVITATION ONLY
Data sharing: by completing the registration form you agree to your information (name, job title, organisation, and your task & finish group) being shared with EngineeringUK as co-hosts of the event. Your information will be held securely and will not be processed, used or shared other than for the purpose of organising the event.
This event will gather members of the collective working on gender pathways into engineering and technology, to support our journey towards creating a step change in the number of girls on pathways into engineering and technology careers.
We will meet on Monday 6 October with the day’s programme from 10.30am (with coffee from 10am) to 4.30pm, followed by an evening drinks reception until 7.30pm.
The day will be an opportunity to:
-
reunite together as a collective.
-
assess our progress against our original aims.
-
take stock of changes in the landscape and hear new perspectives from those who have not been involved so far.
-
assess whether our approach would benefit from additional strands of work that would complement and enable us to reach our ultimate goal.
-
highlight our approach to aligned areas of work such as policy and public affairs and funder engagement.
The event will be attended by members of the collective (those in Task and Finish Groups or who attended the original workshop sprint) and a small number of additional professionals and organisations who will be invited because of their interest in this field or because they can help us have further ongoing impact.
The programme will include sessions to:
-
revisit the aims of the collective, update the whole collective of each task and finish group’s work, assess progress against them and identify gaps for further exploration.
-
review the external landscape, and how it may affect our approach.
-
review aligned areas of work and how we take these forward eg policy and stakeholders.
Let us know in the registration form whether you can attend in person, as this is an in-person event. However, if there is sufficient interest we will try to make arrangements for online engagement. The purpose of this event is to come together as a collective and continue to build connections, but we do not want travel to be a barrier to participation.
Please also tell us in the registration form which Task and Finish Group you’re part of (or if you’re not a current member of a group). The Task and Finish Groups are:
1. Curriculum and assessment
2. Equity and STEM research and change centre
3. Peer mentoring
4. Project based learning
5. Whole school approach to gender equity and inclusive practice
6. AI for gender inclusive careers support in schools
