INVITATION ONLY
The Climate and Sustainability Community of Interest is a cross-sector group comprising of Academy Fellows and Enterprise Hub members, partners from Professional Engineering Institutions, and experts across industry and academia in decarbonisation, infrastructure resilience, climate adaptation and wider sustainability (such as environmental pollution, nature positive engineering and resource efficiency). Together this group will help the National Engineering Policy Centre (NEPC) to bring expert insights on engineering policy areas with climate and sustainability dimensions.
This event will be the first meeting of the community, and will focus on developing our future programme of work. This will build off of a series of scoping workshops held earlier this year with the Arup futures team, and look to refine and develop a series of project proposals which have been developed from the topics and policy areas alighted upon during the scoping workshops.
The event will also include details on your role as a member of the community of interest, alongside more information on the longer term plans and activities for the group such as priority setting for the programme, direct policy maker engagement and knowledge exchange, and will seek to build connectivity within the community.
