International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is an annual campaign on 23 June, to raise awareness of the contribution women have made to the engineering profession. The Academy’s International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) Leadership Lunch will bring together the next generation of engineers with senior industry leaders and provide an opportunity to share advice and experience first-hand.
With this year’s INWED theme ‘Together we Engineer’, the discussions will focus on partnerships that have enhanced people's opportunities and build towards a brighter future. The Academy aims to highlight the value strong partnerships can provide and encourage the knowledge sharing of opportunities.
A panel discussion hosted by Dr Hayaatun Sillem CBE will focus on partnership experiences and the opportunities that have been created as a result. We will be joined by Professor Julia Sutcliffe, Chief Scientific Adviser, Department for Business and Trader, and by Dr Luisa Freitas dos Santos FREng, VP Global Clinical Supply Chain (R&D), GSK. A range of partnerships will be covered, to provide insights for start-up entrepreneurs, people in industry, academia and much more.
