FELLOWS and AWARDEES ONLY
Academy President, Sir John Lazar CBE FREng, is conducting a UK regional engagement tour to share the ambitions and goals set out in Academy Strategy 2030 - Engineering Better Lives (published last month). This strategy aims to respond to a rapidly changing world by using our expertise and our network to engineer better lives in the UK and internationally. At this event, the President is interested in hearing how strategy implementation can be tailored to the specific circumstances and requirements of the Northeast region.
The President will commence his tour of the Northeast region at the Enterprise Hub Newcastle (located at The Stamp Exchange, Westgate Road, NE1 1SA), with an opportunity for networking over a buffet lunch. This will be followed by a tour of regional engineering sites at Soil Machine Dynamics (SMD-UK) and Pragmatic Semiconductor Durham. The event will conclude with an evening drinks reception and dinner at Hotel Indigo Durham (9 Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3HL).
The site visits and evening reception and dinner can be booked separately. If you would like to join the transport that we are arranging between Newcastle and Durham please indicate this when you register.
