Thursday 12 June, 11am-12.30pmBio: Dr Ian Noble leads the scientific research, analytical, corporate venture and sustainability agendas globally for Mondelēz as VP of R&D, with teams based in Technology centers across Asia, Europe, North & South America. Prior to joining Mondelez, Ian led the Global Emerging Snacks Technology group for PepsiCo R&D, joining PepsiCo from Unilever. Ian is committed to strengthening the scientific agenda that enables our Global Food System to enable greater productivity, growth and sustainability for this vital sector of our modern economy.
Theme description: This discussion will focus on the engineering challenges and career opportunities in the UK’s largest manufacturing sector. Highlighting the unseen complexities and interdependencies in our global Food System, addressing the challenges of safety, availability, affordability and sustainability. The dialogue will be suited to early to mid-career engineers who can engage in dialogue on careers in the sector. This session will bring the opportunity to create and deploy transformational engineering science addressing the themes of environmental, economic and social sustainability.
