FELLOWS AND AWARDEES ONLY
The Royal Academy of Engineering is holding a regional event in the West Midlands at the University of Birmingham on 7 November. The event will include a site visit, a closed consultation session regarding the Academy's next strategy (2025-2030), a public lecture by Professor John Loughhead CB OBE FREng on 'The challenges of net zero', and an evening dinner and drinks reception at the Edgbaston Park Hotel, Birmingham. This will be an opportunity to hear unique insights from one of our Fellows about net zero, input into the Academy's next 5 year strategy, network with Fellows, Awardees, academics and engineering business leaders based in the region and receive an update on latest developments at the Academy.
Please note: elements of the programme such as the closed strategy consultation and the lecture must be booked separately.

Ticketing*
The evening dinner is chargeable at a rate of £30 (incl VAT) per person. If you have any dietary requirements, please indicate these when registering your place.
If you would like to cancel your place at dinner, tickets will be refunded up to two weeks prior to the event. After that time, contractual commitments will have been made with the caterers. To cancel, please email [email protected] by 12.00pm on 24 October.

Please note that the public lecture will be recorded and made available on the Academy's website after the event. Photography may also take place during this event. All photographs will be securely stored on the Academy’s servers and used for editorial, marketing and media use by the Academy and selected press or industry media. Transfer and accessibility
We will be providing transport between the University and Edgbaston Park Hotel for those who need it and to get an idea of numbers, please RSVP to us. It is very important to the Royal Academy of Engineering that our events are accessible to all. If you have any accessibility requirements, please provide these when you register.
