Our first event will focus on building successful partnerships between academia and industry and we are excited to be joined by the recent Bhattacharya Award winning team from the Dalston Nuclear Institute at University of Manchester and Nuclear Waste Services. Watch a video about the team here.
We will hear about how they fostered their collaborative partnership and incorporated a truly cross discipline approach. There will then be opportunity to meet and connect with the speakers and other awardees from across the Awardee Excellence Community.
What to expect
The event will start with a 15 minute presentation led by Professor Francis Livens, Director of the Dalston Nuclear Institute at University of Manchester, and John Corderoy, Chief Technical Officer of Nuclear Waste Services, about how they built their award winning partnership. This will be followed by three 15 minute breakout rooms where awardees will be randomly assigned with attendees to meet each other, spark discussions around the theme and talk about their wider work.
All attendees will be required to complete their Awardees Directory profile so you will easily be able to find and connect with the people you meet during and after the event. Access the Awardees Directory and complete your profile by logging in to the Awardees Area.
About the series
The Community Networking series gives you a unique opportunity to meet and connect with other awardees from across the Awardee Excellence Community. The purpose is to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange and facilitate networking in a digital environment. Each meeting will focus on a different cross cutting theme or challenge faced by Community members, relevant across disciplines such as building successful partnerships or public engagement.
