The Royal Academy of Engineering has launched a new online Q&A series to explore the different ways that the engineering profession is contributing to the COVID-19 response. Through a series of interviews with engineers involved in innovative projects and multidisciplinary efforts, we will highlight the ways in which the community has mobilised to rapidly add expertise to the ongoing battle against the virus, and learn lessons from innovating and scaling at pace.
Vivacity Labs have sensors deployed in Greater Manchester and other cities across the UK, monitoring road use and using the data to drive real-time optimisation of transport networks.
Questions such as those below were discussed during the webinar. The Q&A session was chaired by Elspeth Finch MBE.
