Russell Dunn studied aeronautical engineering and German at the University of Bath before joining Airbus, where he spent 17 years in technical leadership roles. This culminated in him leading the wing engineering team for all A350WXB derivatives, from early concept development through to detailed design, manufacture, assembly, flight test and certification. Russ joined GKN Aerospace in 2013 and joined the executive team in 2014 as the senior technical representative. He assumed responsibility for the business sustainability strategy in 2019 and is driving GKN Aerospace’s focus on more sustainable technologies, in particular the transition to zero emissions flight. Russ is also a member of the UK government’s Jet Zero Taskforce and Chair of the UK Hydrogen in Aviation Alliance (HIA).
