Professor Panagiota Angeli has an international research profile, specialising in multiphase flows and their application to sustainable processing. She has authored over 250 papers and is now pioneering the application of digital tools to multiphase processing and sustainable recycling of metals from electronic and nuclear waste. Her research has also helped companies develop and implement intensified manufacturing routes. She has led numerous multi-million-pound strategic research projects and is co-director in two UKRI programme grants. She has driven innovative approaches to experimental engineering and, as Deputy Head (ED&I), she led UCL’s Department of Chemical Engineering to achieve an Athena Swan Gold Award and supports equality across the profession.
