Professor Malcolm Cook is a pioneering figure in low-energy building design, renowned for his expertise in indoor air quality and ventilation. In 2021, Malcolm’s leadership of a Covid-19 pandemic research consortium was instrumental in providing essential evidence to the UK government on safely reopening large entertainment and sporting venues. He has shaped building design and industry standards worldwide through partnerships with industry and contributions to CIBSE and ASHRAE guidelines on ventilation effectiveness and computer simulation.
