Programme Director, Mace
Barbara Welch is an international business leader, engineer and construction professional, and an alumnus of the Academy’s Engineering Leaders Scholarship, now serving on its steering group. For over almost three decades, she has been pivotal in delivering landmark projects globally, and since 2017 has led the Buckingham Palace reservicing programme. She was named on Cranfield University's “Women to Watch" list in 2022, is an external member of Imperial College London’s Property Committee, and is a Trustee of the Mace Foundation. She is a strong advocate of equity, diversity and inclusion, and provides mentoring for a number of organisations in support of developing talent and helping them fulfil their potential.
