The Academy leads a programme to increase diversity and inclusion across engineering. It is working towards the vision of an inclusive profession that attracts and retains people from diverse backgrounds and is reflective of the society it seeks to serve by working collaboratively with employers, institutions and others across the engineering community.

Current projects and updates

  • Shape the world - Mark international women in engineering day, 23 June (INWED) to raise the profile of women in engineering, as we campaign for inclusivity in terms of gender and design. 
  • Closing the engineering gender pay gap Read Academy research to better understand the pay gap and identify effective measures that companies can take to improve the balance.
