Built for living - Understanding behaviour and the built environment through engineering and design

This report explores how the consideration of human behaviour in design and engineering can improve health and wellbeing, performance and productivity, and the stewardship of resources, outlining the implications for practitioners, researchers and policymakers. It was guided by a steering group comprising representatives from the Royal Academy of Engineering, Arup, University College London and the University of Leeds with further support from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
