Associate Research Fellowships 2022
Dr Bounds aims to develop medical imaging systems that can detect signatures of chronic and systemic diseases in the eye. The eye is one of the only external tissues that is not covered in skin, and therefore offers unique insight into the health of the human body. However, current instruments are not suitable for detecting chronic conditions from eye markers. Dr Bounds will develop new prototype instruments for research and clinical practice and enable their translation into commercially available medical screening tools.
