Over the next few weeks, the Royal Academy of Engineering will be attending the political party conferences alongside the Academy of Medical Sciences, British Academy, and the Royal Society. We will be working together to build a cross-party consensus on the value of research and innovation, safeguarding policies that stretch beyond the political cycle.
Ahead of 2015 General Election, the Academies will also be working together to publish a joint statement outlining our commitment and presenting our vision for the future of research and innovation in the UK. This will look at the policy priorities to achieve these goals, and will promote the importance of evidence within policymaking.
