The Royal Academy of Engineering today publishes the first tranche of a series of mini features focusing on innovation and commercial exploitation in the UK. Innovation now showcases some of the best and most successful engineering innovation from great British engineering companies. The innovation profiles can be found at innovationnow.raeng.org.uk
Chief Executive of the Academy, Philip Greenish, says “We often talk about innovation and how valuable it is to UK plc, but we rarely look at what it really involves. We hope people will find this a useful and thought-provoking resource.”
Notes for editors
Founded in 1976, The Royal Academy of Engineering promotes the engineering and technological welfare of the country. Our fellowship – comprising the UK’s most eminent engineers – provides the leadership and expertise for our activities, which focus on the relationships between engineering, technology, and the quality of life. As a national academy, we provide independent and impartial advice to Government; work to secure the next generation of engineers; and provide a voice for Britain’s engineering community.
