Supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
The Academy’s Panel for Biomedical Engineering organises this biennial, multi-disciplinary forum for the best young engineers and scientists from throughout the UK. It provides a unique platform for postdoctoral researchers to showcase their work with opportunities for mentoring and guidance from senior experts. The aim is to encourage feedback, promote interdisciplinary collaboration between the delegates and explore new ways of doing things.
This year the main focus will be on nanoengineering approaches in biomedical science, covering topics including microfluidic technologies, nanosurfaces, nanoscale materials for bone tissue engineering, and engineering and clinical approaches for tremor (Parkinson’s disease) treatment.
This event is aimed at postdoctoral researchers in the field. If you are interested in attending, please send a short statement (250 words) as to how you will benefit from the meeting, a brief CV and an abstract of your research to Nicola Eckersley-Waites by Friday 6 April 2018. Accommodation, meals and registration will be provided free of charge.
If you have any further questions please contact Nicola Eckersley-Waites , Policy Advisor.
