Add to Calendar Europe/London DD/MM/YYYY 20/4/2018 09:4520/4/2018 13:00Launch of the career framework for university teachingRoyal Academy of Engineering, Prince Philip House, 3 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5DG

This event will launch the Academy’s new report on its work to develop a new process for evaluating the contribution of academics to teaching in their institutions.

For many years, the Academy has been concerned that the primary focus of academic progression has been research activity. To this end, this report sets out a framework to help redress this balance, which university progression panels can use to evaluate the contribution of teaching across all taught subjects. This framework - called the Career framework for university teaching can be viewed here

Attendees will also have the chance to hear from an international panel of speakers who have piloted and tested the framework in universities across the world.
