The Royal Academy of Engineering, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the British Academy, the Campaign for Science and Engineering, the Foundation for Science and Technology, and the Royal Society, iwill be hosting a joint general election hustings event.
At this event, representatives for science, research, technology and innovation policy from the Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat parties will outline their party's election position on science, research, technology and innovation, and answer questions.
The representatives are:
Stephen Metcalfe - Conservative former member of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee
Chi Onwurah – Labour Shadow Industrial Strategy Minister
Sam Gyimah - Liberal Democrat Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy spokesperson
The event will be chaired by Pallab Ghosh, BBC Science Correspondent.
There will be press in attendance, and the event will be live streamed.
Doors will open at 6.00pm and the event will begin promptly at 6.30pm.
