The eighth Frontiers of Engineering for Development symposium will take place in Antananarivo, Madagascar, with a theme of From feeding people to nourishing people. The event will tackle the theme through intensive workshop-style sessions and structured networking.

Symposia of this programme bring together the best early to mid-career researchers and practitioners (with zero to 20 years’ post-doc or equivalent industry experience) from industry, academia and government. The aim of the event is to encourage collaborative work, promoting international development and cross-disciplinary thinking among the next generation of leaders in engineering. To help cement new collaborations, groups of participants are invited to apply for seed funding to help develop new partnerships.

The event is by invitation only, but you can express interest in attending via the Frontiers of Engineering for Development page, where you can also find more information about the theme. Please contact programme lead Simona Majernikova for further information.
