Self-driving cars could radically reshape our lifestyles and our landscapes. But who will truly benefit from this technology? Will we all gain from improvements in safety, efficiency, accessibility or will the technology only be available for a lucky few? What role should government play in ensuring that the benefits of the technology are realised and spread widely? Join the Royal Academy of Engineering and UCL’s Driverless Futures? project  for a panel discussion that brings together perspectives from history and social science as well as engineering.
