BY INVITATION ONLY
The 2018 Royal Academy of Engineering’s international education conference is themed Systems approach to creating the global workforce of the future.
It aims to move the education debate forward by exploring a systems approach to global engineering education-encompassing learning and development at all stages of life-to create a global workforce fit for an era of rapid technological development.
There is a global shortage of engineers. What can we do to engage and support primary and secondary schools to encourage more young people into an engineering career? Attendees will be able to:
Discuss new approaches to prepare graduates and upskill the current workforce to meet the demands of industry and the engineering challenges of the future
Meet and discuss engineering education with a wide range of stakeholders including awardees, policymakers, academics, industrialists, professional engineering institutions, NGOs and funders
The conference will shape calls for action and seed partnerships across sectors, which will test a range of approaches to engineering education systems that are fit for the future.
This is an invitation-only event. However, if you or your colleagues are interested in attending, please contact Sebastian Scott, Programme Manager.
If you require any further information about these programmes, please visit either the Higher Education Partnerships in sub-Saharan Africa or Industry-Academia Partnership programme pages.
