The Research Forum showcases the world-class engineering research funded through the Academy’s wide range of programmes.

Awardees from across the portfolio of Academy research schemes will exhibit their work, which will be available to view throughout the day. Following opening remarks and an introduction to the work of the Academy, showcase sessions will take place in themed exhibition spaces. There will be a networking drinks reception at the end of the day.

This year, the main focus will be on important technologies identified in the government’s industrial strategy, which the engineering profession responded to through the Academy-led report, Engineering an economy that works for all. These include:

  • Smart and clean technology
  • Biomedical engineering and quantum technologies
  • Digital technologies and space
  • Manufacturing and advanced materials
