The  Enterprise Hub helps to support some of the UK's most promising engineering entrepreneurs. Our annual Showcase is a private, invitation-only event that will bring together Hub Members, Partners, successful entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders. Each year our newest cohort gets a chance to pitch their exciting new innovations.

We are in the process of an exciting refurbishment of the lower ground floor of the Academy to create a physical home for the Hub. The refurbishment work means we won't have the room to host the Showcase at the Academy, so this year we will be hosting it at the Royal Institution, 21 Albemarle Street, London.

Let’s celebrate the achievements of our last cohort of Hub Members, who have been up to some great stuff (including  Is this the end of constant smartphone recharging? DIY your own DNA analysis , and  STEM and humanitarian aid ) since March 2015

Pitches from the new Hub Members

Our  newest Hub Members will present their exciting technologies - from an on-the spot- cancer screening tool, to bricks made from recycled materials, to  mind-controlled communications , and over to a  3D printed robot which can help children to learn to code.

Breaking the Growth Barrier; panel discussion and audience Q and A with Mark Bryant, Business Growth Fund

The journey to start up from that initial lightbulb moment in a lab is already one that requires tenacity, resilience, and determination. The journey from start up to scale up brings entirely new challenges. Our experienced panel (including Paul Loeffen, CEO of MacRobert Award winners Cobalt Light Systems; Steve Allpress FREng, who sold his company to Nvidia; and Lesley Eccles, co-founder of FanDuel – one of Scotland’s unicorns) will share their stories and discuss how more start ups can successfully bridge the scale up gap.
